SUMMARY:Ladies High Tea
DESCRIPTION:It’s our first annual Ladies High Tea\, and we are super-excited!  \n\n\n\nThis event will take place at the Journey Cafe\, where doors will open at 2:00pm for socializing. Our “High Tea” will begin at 2:30pm and continue until 5:00pm.  What can you expect?  We’ll have some fun icebreakers\, drink lots of tea and eat many little sandwiches and sweets. We’ll listen to some inspiring testimonies\, talk about some Psalms\, and enjoy the time and the friends that God has so graciously and abundantly given to us for an event like this.  \n\n\n\nWe’re going for all the things that Tea can be – frilly\, fancy\, flowery\, Spring-y\, and lovely\, so if you’d like to dress the part or simply wear a hat (we are REALLY encouraging hats)\, we’ll have a flowered photobooth area just for the fun of taking pictures so we can fondly remember it all! \n\n\n\nWe’ll have lots of different teas\, cute little sandwiches\, and fun little desserts. We will have real tea cups and saucers\, and also paper cups and saucers. If you have a favorite heirloom of your own that you’d like to sip from and show-off\, bring it along. And if you have such items to donate\, let us know  – we would be glad to consider taking them off your hands.    \n\n\n\nAdmission is $10.00. We want to make sure that we are prepared to personally greet each of you at the door\, so this is a pre-registered event. DESCRIPTION:Join us as we work through the Lifeway Bible Study\, “The Way of Wisdom”. We’ll be starting on Tuesday\, January 20 at 6:30pm at The Journey Cafe in Hamburg\, and continuing for 8 sessions\, meeting every Tuesday until March 10\, 2026. \n\n\n\n\nThe book of Proverbs describes godly wisdom as a path that leads to life and flourishing. It also warns of the folly of worldly wisdom as a path that leads to the grave. Every day we face the choice between the true riches of God’s instruction or the fool’s gold of earthly pleasures and pursuits. How often do we call to mind the wisdom found in the sayings of Proverbs to shed light on the path before us? How relevant do we even believe these ancient words are to our modern world? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn The Way of Wisdom – Bible Study Book with Video Access\, Bible teachers Jen Wilkin\, Ruth Chou Simons\, Kelly Minter\, Adrienne Camp\, Elizabeth Woodson\, and Courtney Doctor invite you to place your feet firmly on the path of life revealed in the book of Proverbs. As you consider wisdom principles on everyday topics like words\, work\, friendship\, marriage\, parenting\, neighborliness\, money management\, leadership influence\, and more\, you’ll discover the wisdom of Proverbs as an invitation to steadily walk God’s way in God’s world. \n\n\n\n\nIf you’re interested\, please share some information with us below. DESCRIPTION:Deck the Halls with (insert scratching record sound!)…cookies? Yes\, it’s that time when no matter how little you bake during the year\, you get to show your skills in December. So RSVP below\, and join us to Deck Your Cookies Christmas Cookie Decorating & Cookie Swap! \n\n\n\nThe evening begins with open doors at 6:30pm. Each PRE-REGISTERED guest will receive your own batch of cookies\, complete with 3 unopened bags of icing. You’ll also receive a disposable tray for transporting your cookies. There will be sprinkles and other christmas cookie embellishments available\, but you are welcome to bring along your own stuff too. You’ll be able to follow along at your own pace via looped video tutorials as you decorate your cookies like a trained artisan\, but you’re also free to create whatever kinds of cookie you prefer. \n\n\n\nThen there’s the Cookie Swap\, a separate entity from Deck Your Cookies but happening simultaneously. For the swap\, you bring 2 dozen of your favorite christmas-time cookies to trade in-kind with other fresh baked cookie faves. In other words\, you bring 2 dozen of your favorite kind\, and you get to take home a variety of two dozen other kinds of cookies. You do not have to participate in this part of the evening\, but if you aren’t planning to bring any of your own favorite fresh baked cookies\, please refrain from taking any until all the cookie-bringing participants have had their picks.   \n\n\n\nThroughout this event\, we’ll be blessed to celebrate the Christmas spirit with a repeat performance from talented and young live jazz musicians.   \n\n\n\nThe cost of this event is $10.00 for admission at the door. Each registered guest will be guaranteed 10 cookies and 3 icing bags. SUMMARY:The Chosen Watch Group/Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:Maybe you’ve already seen The Chosen: Season 5\, but join us anyway. This event isn’t just for the ladies – adults and youth are welcome. We’ll meet at the Journey Cafe in Hamburg at 5:30 to spend the evening with Jesus and some homemade soups\, so come hungry! We’re planning to watch one episode per session\, but if time permits and the group is up for it\, we’ll watch a second episode too. Either way\, we’ll enjoy the discussions for one or more episodes. \n\n\n\nWe’ll provide the soups\, snacks\, and refreshments for the first gathering. For the rest of the sessions\, we can all participate in making a favorite soup and side. \n\n\n\nThere are chairs available\, but feel free to bring your favorite camping or beach chair\, and a blanket if you’d like to be cozy. It’s a great time of fellowship\, watching and talking about the greatest story ever told.
